We haven't posted for a while - we've been really busy travelling and
Unravelling!
After
an all-dayer at Saltaire Arts Trail, we joined up with the
Zion Arts Centre in Hulme, Manchester on June 9th, at the opening of a Polish poster exhibition curated by John Wojowski of
Kino Film. Although the workshop was short (just over two hours), the people who joined in created just under 9 minutes of hand-painted film to add to the
longest hand painted film in Britain...

... then onward to Maltby! (Chris of Unravel's hometown), where we facilitated an all-day workshop on Sunday 19th June in the Edward Dunn Memorial Hall. Everyone was very friendly, welcoming, and enthusiastic about taking part. Some really intricate animation and beautiful inked textures on this one... we really enjoyed the day.

After the workshop we headed back to Leeds to see our friend
Matthew the Horse reading his comic and surreal poetry as part of the
LOOP Arts weekender at Marshalls Mill. The LOOP Arts collective took over a whole floor of Marshalls Mill for a weekend of exhibitions, performances, live music and poetry. We've loved Matt's off-the-wall illustrations for years, and it was great to see him perform to a live audience for the first time.

... and then last Saturday... Liverpool... we represented
FACT at another Unravel all-dayer, this time at
Newsham Park Arts Festival. A really busy day for all of us - we had a double marquee all to ourselves... You know we like a bit of experimental noise now and then, but we were positioned right in between the two main stages AND the community radio station... mashing it up all day!
