"Drawing on Film" workshop @ National Media Museum: 6 & 7 October 2011

Now that the Unravel tour is winding down, we're starting to think about running different workshops, activities, screenings and events over the next few months. We'll post more about what we'll be up to as we go...

As a start, OKO will be facilitating "Drawing on Film": two days of hands-on, direct filmmaking workshops and screenings at the National Media Museum, Bradford, as part of the Co-operative Film Festival.

The workshops are free, open access and run from 11-2.30pm on both Thursday 6th and Friday 7th October.  The film created at the workshop will be screened in the Cubby Broccoli Theatre at 4pm on each day.  You'll need to book tickets to come to the screening, but again, entry is free.

There's plenty of activities to get involved with during the festival - see the Co-op programme for more info.

We'll also be checking out the Daniel Meadows and Donovan Wylie exhibitions currently at NMM - both are part of the Ways of Looking festival which runs from 1st-30th October 2011.

And watch this space for more on what we might be contributing to the closing party of Ways of Looking!

Unravelling update....

The Unravel workshop tour is nearing completion (only a few more workshops to go until the longest hand painted film in Britain is finished!)...

...Over the next few months the Unravel crew... that's OKO, fellow filmmakers Chris Paul Daniels, Maria Anastassiou and DJ/sound artist Kelvin Brown... will be preparing this epic collaborative work for installation and exhibition, telecine-ing 16 HOURS of hand-painted 16mm film and editing and overlaying over 100 HOURS of interviews to create the soundtrack.....

If you're interested in finding out more about the project, do check out the Unravel blog.
